Vintage early 1970s safari jacket by Guy Laroche Boutique.

Light brown and white mid-weight linen-blend fabric features a detailed stencil print of butterflies, palm trees, pineapples and elephants.

Stand collar. Central button fastening. Fully lined in brown acetate. Deep buttoned pockets at the waist. Three buttons at the cuffs. Lightly padded shoulders for shape.

Specialist dry clean only.

Made in France.

SIZING:

Marked size FR 40, GB 12, D 38.

Best fits petite S-M depending on desired fit. (For reference, model is 5'9", M).

Please note: Jacket has been dry-cleaned and is ready to wear. In very good vintage condition bar a couple of small marks in line with age and a couple of very small holes in the lining.

Guy Laroche (1923-1989) began as a milliner, first working in Paris, then in New York. He returned to Paris in 1949 and worked as an assistant at Jean Dessès for about eight years. In 1957, he opened his own couture house, with the first show being staged in his own apartment. In 1960 he added a ready-to-wear boutique label. Laroche was known as a masterful cutter and tailor.

Unsure about fit or suitability? We are happy to offer store credit in exchange for unworn and unused non-sale items. Please note: swimwear, intimates and pierced jewellery are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.

To request a return, simply contact us via email within 7 days of receiving your order. Items must be returned in original condition via a recorded delivery service.

Store credit will be issued via email and is valid for 24 months. Unfortunately, it is not possible to refund the original postage fee and any return postage is the customer's responsibility. Due to international import duty and fees, we are currently only able to offer returns on UK orders.

As a small business, we appreciate your understanding in our decision to not offer cash refunds.

Sizing

All items are measured flat. Please compare the measurements to a garment you own of a similar shape or fit. Allow for wiggle room. If in doubt, it is always safer to size up rather than down and have the item altered to fit. Vintage shoes in particular often fit small, please check measurements carefully.

Every effort is made to provide accurate product descriptions and any flaws will be detailed in full. However, as vintage items are pre-loved, some light wear should always be expected. Sales tax and import duty

Customs declarations will be supplied with all orders outside of the EU. Human Sea is not responsible for any sales tax or import duties charged upon delivery. If you decline to pay duty on your order and it is returned to the UK, the item will be refunded minus the original shipping fee.
